Nothing But Blue Ribbons This Month
The Pilot - June 2007
By:  PATRICIA SMITH

It's the end of the month and time for the Blue Ribbon/Big E column. A Blue Ribbon is awarded to a person or organization
that has acted in the best interests of the community.

A Blue Ribbon is awarded to Donna Andrews Tepatti for her community-mindedness. She has championed the cause of
companion animals in our community by becoming involved with Companion Animal Clinic of the Sandhills, a low-cost
spay/neuter clinic for dogs and cats that will serve nine counties. She is also on the board of First Tee of the Sandhills, which
is an organization that provides the youth of the Sandhills area with educational programs that promote the game of golf.

Every once in a while in life if you are lucky, you meet someone who embodies the heart of a champion in all senses of the
word -- someone who excels at his or her sport and someone who is a protector and supporter of causes in need of support.
Horse country is lucky to claim Donna as its champion.
